A Pregnant Pause

Last week, I finished all my shoots and editing for the year. πŸ™ŒπŸΌΒ The past several days have been spent cleaning and re-organizing my entire house. It has been the most exhilarating feeling ever. πŸ˜‰ I am SO excited to finally have some down time again! With just under 4 weeks until our little Annie arrives, I am planning to push the pause button and soak up all the free time I can. And while I’m still working one job, it’s nice to have put a hold on the CaitPhoto side for now. I plan to clean and nap as much as possible the last few weeks before baby joins us. πŸ˜‰

The past month has been full of baby showering, date nights, and nursery work. I can’t believe we only have a month left before she’s here!

These sweet beauties threw us the BEST baby shower! We are so thankful for all the sweet people who already love our Annie!

Mom-in-law strikes again. πŸ˜‰

I’m at a party if there are Uncle Mitch cookies. πŸͺ

I love this sweet BFF so much!

All the feels.

My not-so-little, little sister looked so pretty. What a grown-up. 😭

I win at in-law family. πŸ˜‰

Sweet Mama.Β πŸ’•

People who get me gift me things like this. ❀️ (Thanks, Molly!)

Having a moment with Goldie. 😍

Love these cutie coworkers of mine!

This picture makes my heart happy. I have so many good memories with these babes!Β πŸ’•

It was such a fun surprise to have my cousin and aunt come out from Georgia!

And finally, Annie’s namesake – just being the cutest. πŸ€—

In other news, we’ve been eating out entirely too much, but we figure we’d better cherish it while we can! πŸ˜‰Β Halls Pizza Kitchen was a winner!

And Flint is always a winner for breakfast.

We’re still exercising (every now and then lol) to keep those calories at bay. πŸ˜‰

Baby laundry is so much cuter than adult laundry.

I’m also soaking up the snuggles with this pooch. His world is about to turn upside down. πŸ˜‰

I waited my whole pregnancy for the fair to arrive. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

And it did not disappoint. πŸ˜‰

I’ll do a full post on Annie’s nursery when it’s completely finished, but here’s a little peek for now. 😊 (Jack is so proud.)

Happy Sunday, loves!

A Hawaiian Babymoon

You can always tell how crazy our lives have been by the lengthy breaks between blogs. πŸ˜‰ June has been slightly insane, and we’ve got another few weeks of life being pretty busy, but I wanted to catch up while I have the chance!

I imagine everyone who visits Hawaii thinks at one time,Β What if I lived here?? We pondered that frequently on our little babymoon. We spent six days on the island of Kauai soaking up every ounce of sunshine. And can I brag really quick at how adult we are because our pale little bodies did not get one single sunburn!

I took roughly 2,000 photos, so we’re going to narrow that down to 70-ish and knock it all out in one post because I’m lazy. 😝

I love a good waterfall.

A must do if you go to Kauai is Waimea Canyon.

This is my favorite spot on Kauai. It feels so magical!

That tiny speck in the distance above the middle left of the mountain is a helicopter.

When we booked our babymoon, I was afraid I would be too big to fit in a swimsuit. I’m still waiting on that bump to look more pregnant than “she must have just had a large meal.”

A Hawaii onesie for baby!

If you’re looking for a good hotel in Kauai that won’t break the bank, check out the Courtyard by Marriott. The staff is great, rooms are nice, and it’s affordable. And it’s surrounded by palm trees and ocean and good food.

We are very passionate about hotel breakfasts.

One of our nights was spent on a catamaran with Captain Andy’s for a sunset tour of the Na Pali Coast. It was soooo awesome, even though I got pretty queasy on the ride back. Haha.

Rainbows everywhere.

Balcony view. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

I wear this dress a lot because it shows off the bump the best. πŸ˜‰

Another must do and one of our favorite places is Hanalei Bay. The weather was PERFECT.

He. Is. So. Cute.

He loves boogie boarding so much. 😊

My other favorite spot in Kauai is Kountry Kitchen, home of pancakes bigger than your face.

Look how happy he is hahaha.

The first time I felt baby move was right after this pancake. πŸ˜‚

One of our favorite activities was ourΒ tubing tour with Backcountry AdventuresΒ that took us through some old irrigation tunnels in Lihue. I wish I had video or pictures from the ride, but YouTube it if you’re bored. πŸ˜‰

Apparently only 20% of the people who live on Kauai get to see this view because it’s a private road owned by the company.

The whitest people. πŸ˜‚

Our last day and a half was spent soaking up every second at the coolest hotel we’ve ever stayed at – the Kauai Marriott Resort. This is the dreamy roadΒ that leads to the parking lot.

Escalator to the lobby? Ok.

VIEW FROM OUR ROOM. Yes. Absolutely worth every penny.

Before we checked in, we ate a place on the hotel site called Duke’s.

Andrew said the burger was amazing, but he was most in love with this “hula pie” that we got for free since we were “celebrating.” Lol.

The hotel comes with its own mini mountain and beach. Haha.

Good view, good book.

We spent our last night having a fancy dinner at a place that I didn’t dare try to pronounce. Hukilau Lanai.

My favorite thing in the world might be patio hotel breakfasts with this looker.

Last day faces.

But we spent all of it at the pool and beach.Β πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Alright, Annie. We have to wait to go on another adventure until you join us, so hurry up, kid. πŸ˜‰

Happy weekend, friends! ❀️

The Fastest Year

Um, guys? The month of May is three days away. WHAT EVEN. I’m not prepared for this. Except, I really am because I need consistently warm weather ASAP. And I’m ready to find out if this baby is a boy or a girl!

We’ve had a whirlwind couple weeks, and we are looking forward to a little bit of down time this month. πŸ™‚ Here’s what we’ve been up to the last few weeks.

We celebrated handsome Henry’s 2nd birthday!

Smart man loves pizza. And he sometimes eats it out of his dump trucks.

He is really into presents now.

And cake. πŸ˜‚

Andrew and I drove to Kansas City and saw the man, the myth, the legend…John Mayer. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

True story – I threw up in the car on the way but powered through a headache and nausea because HE IS AMAZING.

Seriously, I teared up when he started singing. Haha.

On the way home, we had to make a Lambert’s stop. πŸ˜‹

We had a delightful Easter Sunday full of family and fun!

Our last Easter as a family of three! Jack has no idea. Hahaha.

The weather has been on and off, but Andrew and I have been sneaking in a couple walks on the warm days now that I’m finally feeling a bit better. (I LOVE you, 2nd trimester.)

And I walked with this pretty lady in our blue shoes.

We celebrated Andrew and Gabby’s birthdays with the Boswell clan at Top Golf.

Stud. πŸ˜‰

We spent Andrew’s birthday with pancakes and bacon for breakfast (we looked ridic in the morning, so no pictures lol), and we ended the day with Cheesecake Factory, of course! And Star Wars. 😊 I love this handsome man! ❀️

And today, I got to meet my perfect NIECE!! πŸ’•Β I’ll post pictures next week after Mom and Dad have announced. 😊

Happy weekend, loves!
