There are a million sites out there promising you free gift cards or easy money – if you’ll just sign over all your free time, give them a credit card and an ounce of blood, or agree to receive junk mail every day for the rest of your life. I was pretty excited to find a legitimate site that isn’t crazy annoying or difficult to use. And they let you update your email preferences so you don’t get much pestering. 😉 I’m a big fan of Swagbucks! Here are the fastest ways I add up my points.
-Watch Sponsored Videos
This is the number one way I earn points. It’s super easy to use and adds up without much trouble. Click on “Watch” and you’ll see a tab called “nCrave.” They usually have a few different videos you can run to earn points, or sometimes they’ll have an activity called “All You Can Eat SB.” Both are easy to run without paying attention. We have two laptops and a desktop computer, so I’ll run Swagbucks on one of the laptops while I’m working at my desktop or when we’re watching a movie. Andrew also has an account, so sometimes I’ll run the videos on BOTH laptops. Some of the activities keep running even while you do other things on the screen, so all you have to do is mute your volume and rack up the points. You can even move the windows down and open another window to work on something else. Easy.
Clicking on nCrave will give you some easy activities to earn points. Just make sure you choose one with the little blue play & circle icon in the bottom left corner – that means you can click on “auto-discover” so the ad videos play by themselves. Sponsored videos are another easy way to earn points, but sometimes they require more clicking. The “All the SB You Can Eat” activity requires no clicking (or paying attention) though.
Yes, Google is the best search engine there is, but if you make your default search bar Swagbucks, they randomly give you points. (I usually do a couple searches a day anyway, and if I need more relevant info, Google.com is always there after I search and collect my Swagbucks.)
This is a good way to earn points when you are really bored and have nothing to do. (So no, I don’t get the chance to do these often haha.) You can choose a survey based on the time it takes and the points it’ll give you. Sometimes you don’t qualify for certain surveys, but they’ll give you a consolation point if so. You can find surveys under the “Answer” tab on the left.
-Swag Codes and Polls
Swagbucks randomly does “Swag Codes” throughout the day for anywhere from 2 to 5 points, and all you have to do is type in the code they give you in the Swag Code box. They’ll announce them on Facebook or run a banner at the top of your page letting you know how and when to cash in codes. Another easy point is the Daily Poll. That’s usually the first thing I do when I open Swagbucks because it’s an easy point every day that takes two seconds.
Here’s today’s poll. I voted for The Flinstones, and now that song has been stuck in my head all morning. 🙄
If you’re a big online shopper, you’ll get rewarded just by hitting “Activate Shop & Earn” before you make your purchases at certain online stores. I did this a lot with Christmas presents. It adds up fast if you’re a big online shopper!
-Refer your friends
When your friend joins Swagbucks, you get 10% of their points for life. Sneaky wife tip: sign up your spouse even if they won’t use it. I signed up Andrew even though I really am doing all the Swagbuck work on his laptop, and I get all the referral points. 😉
It takes a little time, but the effort is pretty minimal once you get in the groove of it. 2500 “SB” is good for a $25 gift card, and they have dozens of options. And if they don’t have a gift card you want, here’s another trick – buy the Visa gift card and purchase a gift card you want with that gift card. 😉 We did that when we went to Disney World and ended up paying for half our trip that way.
There are several other ways to earn points, but those are the ones I’ve found to be fastest for the least amount of effort. Any other Swagbuck users have more tips?? I’d love to hear!
