The Fastest Year

Um, guys? The month of May is three days away. WHAT EVEN. I’m not prepared for this. Except, I really am because I need consistently warm weather ASAP. And I’m ready to find out if this baby is a boy or a girl!

We’ve had a whirlwind couple weeks, and we are looking forward to a little bit of down time this month. ๐Ÿ™‚ Here’s what we’ve been up to the last few weeks.

We celebrated handsome Henry’s 2nd birthday!

Smart man loves pizza. And he sometimes eats it out of his dump trucks.

He is really into presents now.

And cake. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Andrew and I drove to Kansas City and saw the man, the myth, the legend…John Mayer. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

True story – I threw up in the car on the way but powered through a headache and nausea because HE IS AMAZING.

Seriously, I teared up when he started singing. Haha.

On the way home, we had to make a Lambert’s stop. ๐Ÿ˜‹

We had a delightful Easter Sunday full of family and fun!

Our last Easter as a family of three! Jack has no idea. Hahaha.

The weather has been on and off, but Andrew and I have been sneaking in a couple walks on the warm days now that I’m finally feeling a bit better. (I LOVE you, 2nd trimester.)

And I walked with this pretty lady in our blue shoes.

We celebrated Andrew and Gabby’s birthdays with the Boswell clan at Top Golf.

Stud. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We spent Andrew’s birthday with pancakes and bacon for breakfast (we looked ridic in the morning, so no pictures lol), and we ended the day with Cheesecake Factory, of course! And Star Wars. ๐Ÿ˜Šย I love this handsome man! โค๏ธ

And today, I got to meet my perfect NIECE!! ๐Ÿ’•ย I’ll post pictures next week after Mom and Dad have announced. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy weekend, loves!

February Fun

It’s hard to believe February is already on its way out! Of course, we’ve had some fun distractions helping the month fly by faster. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The obsession with Chick-fil-A continues, and we essentially forced Tanner and Gabby to come with us to a Valentine’s date night dinner the restaurant by our house hosted. It was perhaps the whitest thing we’ve ever done, but we gotย free stuff and had nuggets, so it was worth it. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Tanner was clearly thrilled.

The night before Valentine’s Day, Andrew and I fancied up and headed downtown for our dinner at Vast! We were so glad we went the night before, because it wasn’t crowded at all.

Yes. I made him take a picture holding the bread. It’s important to us.

I had forgotten how magnificent their steak is, and I’ve been unable to stop thinking about it since we left. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

My little sister is such a rockstar chef! It was a fun surprise when she brought us out a free dessert.ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

I made some fun little Valentines for my co-workers, because I’m cheesy and food-obsessed.

The best surprise was when this handsome man showed up at work and took me out for a Longhorn lunch! ๐Ÿ˜

See? We’re happiest with bread.

I cannot say enough good things about the parmesan crusted chicken at Longhorn. It has changed me.

We also had a Valentine visit at work from this little cutie! ๐Ÿ’•

More perfect surprises from Andrew were on the table when I got home from work. He rocked it. โค๏ธ

The most romantic of Valentine’s Days. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ•

We wrapped up the week Saturday at the zoo withย our favorite little nephew. ๐Ÿ’•

My new favorite thing he does is hold hands and stare at his shadow.

Such a little babe.

Henry wanted the fish to live long and prosper.ย ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿผ

My. Heart.

Goldfish for the win.

I’ve decided I’m going to make him take photo booth pictures every time we go to the zoo until he’s 18.

Happy Monday, loves!ย May your week be as chill as my dog.

2016 in Review

We spent the last day of 2016 cleaning, eating, planning, and hanging with family. Today we started the year off at church, followed by a fabulous lunch at Longhorn, and then a 2.5 mile walk to burn a few calories because we just had Andy’s ice cream for dinner. It was our “last meal” before we’re back to dieting for quite a while. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love the fresh start of January. It feels new and clean and full of opportunity. 2016 was quite peculiar, but it was certainly full of adventure! Here’s a little look back at the craziness.

We obviously made Cheesecake Factory a priority. (I must confess that we now are back to beingย more obsessed with Longhorn though because I discovered their parmesan crusted chicken.)

We celebrated Wormy turning 18 by taking a trip to Disney World.

Let’s remember that this picture of Alyssa hiding from the dinosaur ride happened. ๐Ÿ˜‚

We captured endless perfect pictures of Henry and his cuteness.

And this GIF was created.

My Super Bowl snack stadium made us all fat.

Andrew and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas and got fatter. ๐ŸŒด

We rode the “Leap of Faith” ride at Atlantis that slides through sharks, and it was terrifying.

And before heading home, we spontaneously spentย Valentine’s Day at Disney World. ๐Ÿ’•

We took Handsome Hank to the zoo, and my heart exploded.

I turned 26 and consoled myself at Lambert’s. ๐Ÿž

And at Papa Angelo’s.

And Cheesecake Factory.

My favorite little nephew turned 1!

And he discovered the glory of cake.

We celebrated Easter with loads of cute family.

Andrew turned 27, and we partied at Main Event.

These cutie pies graduated in May!

We also celebrated 5 years of marriage in May…with heart-shaped pancakes. โค๏ธ

And with a fancy dinner at Vast!

Side note – have I mentioned my baby sister works there now!?

Aaand we kept celebrating in Colorado…with more pancakes. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We fed a tiger at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. ๐Ÿ˜

And some giraffes. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We took anniversary pictures in the Garden of the Gods. โค๏ธ

We had Mother’s Day Brunch at our house with all our favorite people.

These handsome boys met for the first time. ๐Ÿ˜

Henry gave us more hilarious / adorable pictures.

Several date nights occurred. โ˜บ๏ธ

We took a Boswell family trip to Lambert’s.

We watched Independence Day on Independence Day.

I brunched with these beauties at Flint. ๐Ÿ’•

Andrew and I tried out “Favorites Days.”

I got to snuggleย a tiger on my Favorites Day.

And a snake.

And a lemur.

And a beautiful pizza. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Tanner and Gabby got engaged, and it was magical. ๐Ÿ˜

Jack had surgery on his rump, and it was dreadful.

His face in the cone of shame broke our hearts. Haha.

We road tripped like maniacs all the way toย Philadelphia.

Andrew tried his first cheesesteak.

We then journeyed up to Ocean City, New Jersey to have some family vaca time.

We took the ferry to New York City.

Good gosh, I miss that pizza.

And this perfect Serendipity ice cream sundae.

On the way home, we hit Washington, D.C. because I love my husband.

Andrew’s nerd out was adorable.

When we got home, the cone of shame was removed and Jack was back to his happy, hilarious self.

We lived it up a few weeks later in Disney World (again) over Labor Day!

Our ride photos are the best ever.

Thank God for dollar store ponchos.

Dad turned 60, and we had all the foods and all the parties. ๐ŸŽ‰

Andy’s Frozen Custard entered our lives and changed us forever.

There were not nearly enough best friend dates, but the ones we had were full of so much laughter!

We went back to Colorado in October.

And it was perfect, of course.

There were lots and lots of snuggles. โค๏ธ

We had a perfect work party at Longhorn with these stellar people.

We Thanksgiving-ed.

And we Christmas-ed. ๐ŸŽ„

I created my favorite planner yetย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผย (more on that to come).

And we rang in 2017 with these crazies. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The year was crazy, but God is so good to us. Hope you all are having a wonderful start to 2017! ๐Ÿ’•
