The Overwhelming Summer

I thought being pregnant would get me out of a lot more, but it turns out I’m just as busy and life is just as crazy. πŸ™ƒ We’ve been running 100 MPH, and I’m just briefly emerging from the chaos before it starts back up again. My multi-tasking brain is out of hand, and I’ve been working my butt off the last couple months. And pregnancy brain? It’s real.

BUT HEY GOOD NEWS. I’ll have a baby 😳 in just 3 months, and that’ll give me a great excuse to end the busy, right? 😝

Let’s play catch up on the last few weeks – they’ve been full of crazy, but full of fun!

Andrew is very excited (like, tears-in-his-eyes-excited) that a Potbelly’s has finally graced Oklahoma. This one is on NW Expressway, but we’re getting another one just 15 minutes away soon!

Sweet baby Boswell has graciously allowed me to return to chocolate, particularly chocolate-chip pancakes. PRAISE.

We had a blast celebrating my new sister at her bachelorette party! Gabby is officially a BOSWELL! πŸ’•Β (Keep scrolling for wedding pics.)

These girls are SO much fun.

We rehearsed with perfect weather. ❀️

My mom-in-law knows how to throw a party. πŸ’ƒπŸΌ

The best maid of honor and best man ever. 😍 Their speeches had us all in tears and giggles.

❀️

Baby Annie rocked her first wedding. πŸ’•

Prettiest little bride!!!

All hail Mom-in-law’s skills.

It was so fun to be a bridesmaid with this cutie co-worker!

So. Much. Fun.

So proudΒ to call this looker mine. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

Perfect fam photo by Holly Gannett Photography. ❀️

The week after the wedding was spent working a bunch, but we had a visit from baby Goldie Jane! πŸ’•

This hunk and I celebrated 10 years of dating last month. HOLY COW. We went back to our first date and reminisced at Steve’s Rib. 😊

This is the exact face Jack gives Andrew every single day when he comes home from work until he takes him outside to play. πŸ˜‚

Post-playtime.

I passed my glucose test…

…by bringing my Mama for moral support.

We celebrated with pizza, of course. πŸ•πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Let me continue the feast photos by quickly plugging Longhorn Steakhouse yet again. The chicken and steak combo was sent directly from God.

We partied with family to celebrate Brad’s birthday and Pop-Pop’s 90th birthday!

My sweet Mom-Mom (who Annie is being named after) gave us this perfect little book. If you haven’t read it, grab a box of tissues before you do. 😭

We watch Independence Day every 4th of July. I never regret it. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We had perfect walking weather on the 4th too!

I didn’t think I’d do fireworks this year, but turns out my pregnancy is pretty darn easy aside from the bathroom breaks. πŸ˜‰ Haha.

We also celebrated Andrew’s grandma turning 87! Sweetest thing.

And I finally got to catch up with these beautiful besties. They make me laugh so much! ❀️

I’ll post an update on baby’s nursery soon, but here’s a quick preview. Lol. (Still 95% sure Jack has no clue.)

Happy Thursday, friends! πŸ˜„

Let’s Catch Up

I’m well overdue for a catch up blog. My apologies. We’ve had a crazy busy few weeks! Spring has slowly been showing its beautiful face (with a few thunderstorms), I’ve been celebrating (in denial) turning 27, and we’ve been planning lots of fun new adventures for the year! Let’s play catch up.

Andy’s on Penn and 150th is open – go forth and feast, my friends!

We had a fabulous family birthday party that I have almost no pictures from, but Andrew got me these awesome giant balloons that I had to get a picture with, of course. πŸ™‚ Fun fact: 27 is my favorite number, so it’s bound to be a good year!

When I was leaving the house on my birthday to head to a work lunch, this beautiful baby came right up to me and eventually hopped in my car. Haha! I dropped her at the Edmond Animal Shelter if anyone recognizes her!

Such a happy little birthday blessing!

We had PIZZA naturally to celebrate my birthday with my favorite work ladies. πŸ™‚

And we ended the day with dinner at Longhorn, of course.

This is my favorite view…handsome man and beautiful chicken. πŸ˜‰

I got these super cute sneakers from Andrew for my birthday that will hopefully motivate me to get back into a regular exercise routine. πŸ˜‰

Another pizza celebration with my lovelies, Kristi and Brette!

Mom-in-law took Gabby and me on a quick trip to Dallas over Spring Break, and we shopped hard.

We ate at a place called Hopdoddy’s – best burgerΒ everrr.

The weekend after my bday, we saw Beauty & the Beast at the Warren balcony with these beautiful chips and queso. πŸ˜‰

And this ginormous salad. (Movie was awesome by the way – the music is AMAZING.)

And the last of the birthday celebrations ended with family, more pizza, and more ice cream. πŸ™‚

Henry knows what’s important in life.

We took my hammock out for the first time last week, and it was more divine than I imagined. Now if Oklahoma would just get itself together and have some consistently sunny days, we’d be golden. πŸ˜‰

And lastly, this is my new favoriteΒ meme. Lol.

Happy Wednesday! πŸ™‚

February Fun

It’s hard to believe February is already on its way out! Of course, we’ve had some fun distractions helping the month fly by faster. πŸ˜‰

The obsession with Chick-fil-A continues, and we essentially forced Tanner and Gabby to come with us to a Valentine’s date night dinner the restaurant by our house hosted. It was perhaps the whitest thing we’ve ever done, but we gotΒ free stuff and had nuggets, so it was worth it. πŸ˜‚

Tanner was clearly thrilled.

The night before Valentine’s Day, Andrew and I fancied up and headed downtown for our dinner at Vast! We were so glad we went the night before, because it wasn’t crowded at all.

Yes. I made him take a picture holding the bread. It’s important to us.

I had forgotten how magnificent their steak is, and I’ve been unable to stop thinking about it since we left. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

My little sister is such a rockstar chef! It was a fun surprise when she brought us out a free dessert.Β πŸ˜‰

I made some fun little Valentines for my co-workers, because I’m cheesy and food-obsessed.

The best surprise was when this handsome man showed up at work and took me out for a Longhorn lunch! 😍

See? We’re happiest with bread.

I cannot say enough good things about the parmesan crusted chicken at Longhorn. It has changed me.

We also had a Valentine visit at work from this little cutie! πŸ’•

More perfect surprises from Andrew were on the table when I got home from work. He rocked it. ❀️

The most romantic of Valentine’s Days. πŸ˜‚πŸ’•πŸ•

We wrapped up the week Saturday at the zoo withΒ our favorite little nephew. πŸ’•

My new favorite thing he does is hold hands and stare at his shadow.

Such a little babe.

Henry wanted the fish to live long and prosper.Β πŸ––πŸΌ

My. Heart.

Goldfish for the win.

I’ve decided I’m going to make him take photo booth pictures every time we go to the zoo until he’s 18.

Happy Monday, loves!Β May your week be as chill as my dog.
